Jovanna Briscoe (b. Bellport, NY) studied visual arts at CUNY Hunter College, graduating in 2020 with a B.A. in Studio Art & Political Science. During her final semester, she was accepted into the Spring 2020 Hunter Painting Fellowship. She moved from NYC to Los Angeles in 2021 and for the past two years has worked as a Teaching Artist with ArtworxLA, bringing culturally significant art education to continuation students across Los Angeles County. This past fall, Jovanna has had her professional debut, showing her paintings at Bonita Museum in San Diego County, California and Lore Degenstein Gallery at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
